Overview
A trademark protects the name, logo, tagline or mark that distinguishes your goods and services from everyone else's. Once registered, it gives you exclusive nationwide rights to that mark in your class and the ability to take legal action against copycats.
You can start using the ™ symbol as soon as your application is filed, and the ® symbol once registration is granted. Because trademark rights in India generally follow whoever files first, delaying an application is a real commercial risk.

How the process works
- 1
Trademark search
We search the Trade Marks Registry for identical and deceptively similar marks and flag any conflict before you spend money on filing.
- 2
Class selection
Your goods and services are mapped to the correct Nice classification classes — filing in the wrong class leaves you unprotected.
- 3
Application filing
Form TM-A is filed and you receive an application number, allowing immediate use of the ™ symbol.
- 4
Examination & objection reply
The Registry examines the mark and may raise an objection. We draft and file a legal reply and appear at the hearing if required.
- 5
Journal publication & registration
The mark is advertised in the Trade Marks Journal. If unopposed for four months, the registration certificate is issued.
